About
A studio built on ink & tide
Saltmarsh Strips began at a harbor-side drawing table with one belief: that a well-inked panel can carry the weight of a whole chapter. Today the studio partners with writers, publishers, and brands to make comics that feel hand-made in the best sense — deliberate, textured, alive.
The Studio
Small team, deep benches
Saltmarsh Strips is led by a working illustrator and backed by a trusted bench of inkers, colorists, and letterers. Every page passes across a real drawing board before it ever touches a screen — thumbnails in pencil, tight drawings in ink, color built to let the linework breathe.
The studio's house style nods to classic adventure comics: bold silhouettes, confident brushwork, and color that knows when to shout and when to whisper.
